How do I book a golden visa medical test at Smart Salem?

Booking is simple and convenient. You can book an appointment online here, or walk- in to one of our 3 centrers in Dubai – Index Tower, Dubai Knowledge Park and City Walk. If you are outside the UAE you can pre-book your appointment before arrival.

What does the golden visa medical test include?

Depending on if you take your test with us, additional contagious diseases may also be screened for. Tuberculosis (TB): You’ll be screened for signs of active or past TB. If there’s any indication of this, you may need treatment and a medical clearance before you can continue with your visa application. HIV: This is one of the key conditions tested. A positive result may affect your eligibility for the Golden Visa, depending on current DHA guidelines. Depending on your profession, you may be tested for additional conditions within the same blood test. If detected, treatment and proof of medical clearance may be required.

Can I use a visa medical fitness test from Smart Salem for a visa outside the UAE?
No, the medical fitness tests conducted at Smart Salem are for only valid for UAE visas. This includes visas issued by Dubai. Most other Emirates in the UAE accept Smart Salem visa medical test certificates but we highly recommend that you confirm with the Emirates' visa issuing authorities before booking your test at Smart Salem. If you're applying for a visa outside the UAE, you will need to follow the medical testing requirements specific to that country.
What is a golden visa medical test?
The Golden Visa medical test is a required step for anyone applying for long-term residency in the UAE. The medical test is a government requirement, to ensure public health safety. It’s a straightforward process, but you do need to pass it, to move forward with your application. That goes for everyone, whether you’re an investor, a skilled professional, or bringing family members over (as long as they’re over 18).
If I already have a UAE residency visa, do I have to do my blood tests and x-ray again?
If you already hold a UAE residency visa and are applying for a Golden Visa, you will need to repeat your blood tests as part of the medical fitness process. However you may need to repeat your chest x-ray (determined at the time of visa medical test by Dubai Health). Applicants under 18 years old are not required to complete a Medical Fitness test.
What happens if my UAE visa medical test results are abnormal?
If your test results require further review, you will be advised to follow up with the government health department in Al Muhaisnah for the next steps.
